Anne Hathaway Teases 'Princess Diaries 3'

A Royal Return?

Anne Hathaway has sparked speculation about a possible third installment in her beloved "Princess Diaries" franchise. The actress hinted at the possibility during a recent interview while discussing her upcoming movie, "The Idea of You."

Royal Roots

Anne Jacqueline Hathaway was born in Brooklyn, New York, to Kate McCauley Hathaway, an actress, and Gerald T. Hathaway. Hathaway rose to fame in the early 2000s with her breakout role as Mia Thermopolis, the protagonist in the "Princess Diaries" films. The first film was released in 2001 and was a critical and commercial success, grossing over $165 million worldwide.

The sequel, "Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement," followed in 2004 and was also well-received by audiences. However, despite the success of the first two films, a third installment has not yet materialized.

Now, over two decades after the first film's release, Hathaway has hinted that a third "Princess Diaries" film could be in the works. When asked about the possibility of returning to the role of Mia, Hathaway said, "I would more than entertain it. I think it would be wonderful."

Hathaway's comments have sent fans of the franchise into a frenzy. While no official announcement has been made, the actress's hint has reignited hopes for a royal return to Genovia.
